Family Owned and Operated Since 2001
It all started in Pinedale, Wyoming…
In 2001, Mike and Sherri Irwin launched Rocky Mountain Car Wash with their very first location in their hometown of Pinedale, WY. From day one they spent weekends cleaning muddy wash bays, taking out trash, and fixing equipment.
Before long, their children, Taylor and Riley, were pitching in too—learning the car wash business from the ground up. Taylor’s earliest responsibilities included counting tokens and quarters (she still remembers meticulously drying each one by hand), scraping mud, and taking out the trash. Today, she serves as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, fueled by a deep passion for people and service.
Riley began as a customer service attendant, helping customers, maintaining equipment, and keeping the bays spotless. His knack for mechanics quickly became clear, and he grew into a company-wide technician. After earning his degree in mechanical engineering from Montana Tech in Butte, Riley now leads as a Project Manager, overseeing remodels and new location developments.
As the company has grown, so has the family’s involvement. While Taylor and Riley manage day-to-day operations, Mike now focuses on expansion, and Sherri handles the company’s finances. What began as a single-site, family-run business has grown into a thriving organization with 16 locations (and counting) and a team of more than 60 dedicated employees.
